Heavy rain dampens tourist visits in Aliyar and Monkey Falls!

Locals in the area enjoyed the falls to themselves because of the lack of tourist crowd.

Coimbatore: Monkey Falls is one of the most popular destinations in Pollachi, Coimbatore. It is one of the favorite spots for people to visit during holidays. Tourists from Coimbatore, Pollachi, Erode, Tirupur and Chennai visit Aliyar and Monkey Falls to enjoy nature's bliss.

With heavy rains in many parts of Tamilnadu, tourists visiting Aliyar and Monkey Falls have considerably reduced. Today, despite the Pongal festival, less number of tourists were seen due to the heavy rains since the day break in Pollachi and areas around it.

Also with the recent rains, the falls had been overflowing with water at a higher force. This has added to the less number of other district tourists visiting Aliyar and Monkey Falls. Locals in the area enjoyed the falls to themselves because of the lack of tourist crowd.
