Authorities expect to easily identify the corrupt officials with help of their property details.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation has asked officials and workers of the corporation to submit the details of revenue and properties owned by them and their family members.
Under the Tamilnadu Government Workers Regulations Act of 1973 under section 7 it is said that properties under the name of a government official or their family members should be submitted to the department periodically.
Officials are required to submit the details of revenue and properties owned by them during the time of joining and are asked to submit the details of revenues and properties including loan details every 5 years.
Since most officials haven't adhered to this regulation, superior officers, officials and workers belonging to the Coimbatore Corporation are advised to file their property and revenue details.
