Anamalais Mahatma Gandhi Ashram organizers petition to Coimbatore Collector to close the opening of new Tasmac shop

A government Tasmac shop is said to be opened soon between the Makkal Sakthi village and Chinnapampalayam village.


Coimbatore: A government Tasmac shop is said to be opened soon between the Makkal Sakthi village and Chinnapampalayam village within the Odaiyakulam Municipality in Pollachi.

However, Anamalais Mahatma Gandhi Ashram organizers gave a petition to the Coimbatore District Collector Rajamani against the opening of this new Tasmac shop in Pollachi.

In the petition it was said that the new Tasmac is situated very close to the houses of the village which will affect the calmness in the neighborhood.

It was also said that a government tasmac shop which was operating near the Pollachi Government Hospital in Vettaikaranpudur was shut down recently after continuous protest by the people.

In the petition it was also mentioned that the new Tasmac which is scheduled to be opened in the areas of Makkal Sakthi village and Chinnapampalayam village is bound to cause trouble to the local public.

Public of Makkal Sakthi village near Anamalai also filed a petition to the government officials to grant Patta to the backward community members in the vacant lands in the village as their community members are struggling at rented houses.
