8 injured as car falls into 250-foot hilly area in Valparai
Coimbatore: 8 injured as car overturns in Valparai hill road. The Tata Sumo TN11H 4165 belonging to Velusamy, from Uralikal estate next to Valparai in Coimbatore district, was on its way to Valparai from Pollachi at around 4 am.
The car lost control due to fog near the Waterfall Umayandi Mudakku and fell down into a 250-foot abyss. Of the eight passengers, five survived with injuries. Those who travelled include Driver Senthil Murugadoss (40) father's name Velusamy,Manoj (20) father's name Chandran, Manikandan (18) father's name Subramanian, Nandakumar (16) father's name Sellathurai, Manikandan (17) father's name Saminathan, Muneeswaran (16 ) father'sname Lakshmanan, Kalaiyarasan (24) father's name Velusamy, Nitish (17) father's name Ganesh.
Fortunately all of them survived with minor injuries. The public immediately informed the Waterfall Police Station in Kadamparai. The injured were rushed to Valparai Government Hospital by 108 ambulances. Waterfall police are investigating the accident.
