Protest demanding housing patta for journalists in Tirupur

Tirupur: A protest was held at the entrance of the District Collector's Office in Tirupur demanding the government to provide housing to journalists. It has been 11 years since Tirupur has been converted into a district and so far the press and television journalists and cinematographers working in Tirupur district have not been allotted housing pattas by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

The protest was held at the entrance of the District Collector's Office as no action has been taken so far after petitioning the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu twice in this regard. A large number of journalists from Tirupur district participated in the protest and submitted their petition to the district administration.
