Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman presents pongal gift to public in Tirupur!

Tamilnadu government recently announced the pongal gift of 2500 rupees along with other basic supplies.


Tirupur: Government of Tamilnadu had recently announced a pongal gift scheme under which an amount of Rs 2500 along with sugarcane, lentils, sugar and dry fruits were to be issued to the public.



As a part of this scheme Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman visited Tirupur Corporation todayand participated in the inauguration of the distribution of the pongal gift.



According to this scheme the pongal gift will be distributed to almost 7 lakhs 48 thousand ration card holders from 1035 ration shops. The government officials are planning to distribute the Pongal gift to almost 200 card holders per day.

Tirupur South MLA Gunasekharan took part in this event and also distributed the pongal gift to the people of Tamilnadu.
