Hindu Makkal Puratchi Padai State President warns to protest if TN government does not stop collecting special darshan fee in temple


Coimbatore: A Hindu organization has warned the Tamil Nadu government that it should immediately cancel the collection of special fees for darshan in Hindu temples or else there will be a 'Undiyal breaking' protest.



The flag unveiling ceremony of the Hindu Makkal Puratchi Padai was held in Coimbatore today. In it, state president Bhiman Pandi unveiled the flag and told reporters that all parties working against Hindus would be defeated in the coming elections. He said that if the Tamil Nadu government did not take immediate action to stop the erection of Periyar statues in front of Hindu temples and placing sayings on Periyar statues, they said they will similarly raise slogans in front of churches and mosques.

He also warned the Tamil Nadu government to immediately cancel the collection of fees for special darshan in Hindu temples or else there will be a Undiyal breaking protest in all the temples. State media chief MSK Selvam, district youth wing leader Ram Rahul, Coimbatore district coordinator Kalaiselvan, Coimbatore district youth wing vice president Surya, Rashtriya Janata Party state president Ramanathan, Shiv Sena Kavi Pulipadai state vice president Pulavanchi Bose and Hindu nationalists. Hindu Desiya Katchi executive president S.S. Mani and several party members attended the protest.
