Lorry collides with a two-wheeler in Coimbatore: Vegetable vendor killed
Coimbatore: In the accident where a lorry collided with a two-wheeler in Coimbatore a vegetable vendor was killed. Arunkumar (age 28), a native of NS Nagar, Mettupalayam, Coimbatore, used to work in a vegetable market in Mettupalayam.
He used to go to many places for money collection and yesterday he left for Tirupur on a motorcycle to collect money. The lorry stopped abruptly without any notice as the motorcycle passed near the Oothupalayam between Annur Avinashi.
The motorcycle stumbled and collided head-on with the back of the truck. Arunkumar was thrown and died on the spot in a pool of blood. The people of the area who were shocked immediately informed the Annur police. Police rushed to the spot and recovered his body and sent it to a government hospital for autopsy. Annur police have registered a case and are investigating.
