As part of this, more than a hundred Mid-day meal workers protested near the BSNL office. It emphasized three points demands, including the conversion of Mid-day meal workers into government employees and the provision of a stipend of 5 lakh rupees for retired employees, and an increase in the monthly pension from 2,000 rupees to 7,500 rupees.



They also insisted on opening schools and providing them with nutritious food rather than providing dry food to children. They also alleged that the 22 eggs that were given to children during school days have now been reduced to 10 eggs.
