Eleventh standard student electrocuted to death in an accident


Coimbatore: Eleventh standard student electrocuted to death in an accident. Rangan is from Kannappa nagar near Rathinapuri in Coimbatore and his son Sridhar (age 17) is a eleventh standard student of the Corporation School in Ganapathy.

YesterdaySridhar went to his aunt's house in VNR Nagar Vadavalli. He was then playing on the terrace of the house with the boys from the area. The boys were then tapping the high voltage electric wire that went through that with a wooden stick.

Sridhar then suddenly grabbed the electric wire telling that he cannot be electrocuted. In the blink of an eye the electricity struck him and he got thrown in which he sustained severe injuries. His relatives rescued him and rushed him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. There, doctors admitted Sridhar to the intensive care unit and treated him. He died tragically this morningas treatments failed. Vadavalli police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
