Poor quality gloves scam: A woman and her partner arrested for defrauding ₹98 lakhs worth order

The duo is said to have cheated around 98lakh rupees by selling low and cheap quality hand gloves.

Coimbatore: A private concern from Bangalore was involved in providing hand gloves to hospitals and NGO's.

The private concern tied up with Blue Harchits, a company producing hand gloves in Kavundampalayam, Coimbatore.

For a payment of ₹98 lakhs which was made by the private concern in Bangalore, hand gloves were sent in instalments by the Blue Harchits company.

The private company recently found that the gloves which are being sent out from the Blue Harchits company were damaged and were of low quality. They also found that the gloves were used already.

The private concern's CEO Rohith complained to the Blue Harchits CEO Geetha Agarwal regarding the poor quality issue.

He also asked Geetha Agarwal to refund the amount paid initially as the product was not in a usable condition.

With no proper replies from the side of Geetha Agarwal and her partner Balaji, Rohith filed a complaint against them for scamming him of ₹98 lakh rupees.

Assistant commissioner Appadurai who investigated the case arrested both Geetha Agarwal and her partner Balaji and produced them in the court which then sentenced them to prison.

The police are now involved in searching the other members who were involved in this scam.
