Prabhu (age 20) hails from Coimbatore Rathinapuri Thayir Itteri. Various cases including robbery are pending against him. He was arrested by police on the 11th and produced in court. Following this, Prabhu was to be imprisoned to the Avinashi Sub jail.
Prabhu was taken to Coimbatore Government Hospital for a medical examination by Sub-Inspector Revathi before sending him to Avinashi subjail. After reaching the Coimbatore Government Hospital premises, the accused got out of the vehicle, conned Sub-Inspector Revathi, pushed her and fled away.
The police registered a case and we're searching for the escaped prisoner. Police got information that he was in Hosur and rushed to the spot. The fleeing Prabhu was arrested in Hosur. He was later brought to Coimbatore and kept at the Saibaba Colony Police Station for further investigation.
