Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Monday recorded 1,141 fresh COVID-19 cases and 14 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,00,029 and toll to 11,909.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 1,203 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,78,081 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 10,039.
Among districts, Chennai led with 343 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 124 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 63,989 today, totalling to 1,30,20,594 getting examined till date.
