Drivers and conductors advised to treat passengers kindly


Coimbatore: The government bus driver and conductor has been advised that students using the concession pass should be treated well and to not offend passengers. The institutions open todayand classes for postgraduate research students in university colleges began last week as the COVID-19 lockdown has been relaxed. Classes for undergraduate final year arts, science, engineering, agriculture, technology colleges, and university students begin today. After 8 months students start commuting on buses.

The driver and conductors were advised to check the students' bus passes and treat them kindly. Be sure to check out the various free pass art. Conductors were asked not to scold and shout as the buses will be congested as usual due to the arrival of teachers and students. Coimbatore State Transport Corporation official said, "During the Coronavirus situation a kind approach and guidance to passengers is essential. There have been complaints that some conductors are scolding students and drivers are not stopping at stops. The driver and conductor has been instructed to check the bus pass and behave so as not to offend them."

He also said all passengers need to follow the guidelines, including to control the disease.
