Jewellery robbed from an elderly woman by claiming to provide massage
Coimbatore: Meenakshi Ammal (75), a resident of Mathukutty street, Saibaba Colony, Coimbatore, is suffering from paralysis of the arm, leg, joint and has nerve issues.
Three days ago, a person contacted her on her cell phone and told her that if she did an oil massage, her paralysis would be cured. Meenakshi Ammal, who believed in it, asked him to come home yesterday.
A 30-year-old man who had come to Meenakshi Ammal's house has asked her to wash her face, hands and feet for an oil massage. The old woman then took off the 4.5 sovereign gold chains and placed it on the table to go wash her face. The boy immediately stole the necklace and fled. Saibaba Colony police have registered a case and are searching for the culprit.
