Coimbatore: Corporation officials yesterdaysealed off 5 flower shops that were illegally opened at the Corporation Flower Market in Coimbatore RS Puram. Maintenance work is being carried out on behalf of the corporation administration on the shops in the Poo market premises on Mettupalayam Road near RS Puram in Coimbatore. 95 new shops are nearing completion and presently due to the spread of the coronavirus, the corporation administration has not given permission to open shops here since last July.
Corporation received complaints that some florists were opening and doing business near the Poo market premises in violation of the corporation's ban.
