Tirupur: Public in Tirupur today filed a petition at the District Collector's Office demanding immediate closure of the newly opened Tasmac store in Vavipalayam area next to Neriperuchal.
There have been protests to close the Tasmac shop operating in Neruperichal. This was followed by talks with Tasmac officials at the North Thasildhar Office last August.
In the meeting held it was decided to relocate the store and close the Tasmac store in the area on November 19. The store, however was operating post the date. The people of the area today petitioned the district collector to order the permanent closure of the Tasmac store as discussed during the talks.
