Tirupur: The incident where an EB contract worker was electrocuted while working near Palladam has caused great tragedy.


Tirupur: The incident where an EB contract worker was electrocuted while working near Palladam has caused great tragedy.

Vijayan has been working as a contract worker for the last ten years at the EB office at Ganapathypalayam next to Palladam in Tirupur district. The public informed the EB office that there was a power outage at the Royal Avenue area.

Consequently, L.I. Sakthivel has said a transformer in the area had a problem with its fuse.



Under the circumstances, contract worker Vijayan who was working on the transformer was electrocuted tragically.

Meanwhile, workers in the Tirupur area have blamed officials who refuse to provide even first aid to victims who suffer electric shocks during work.
