Houses in Madhampatti panchayat at Coimbatore Kinathukadavu Assembly constituency were damaged due to heavy rains yesterday.
In this situation, MLA Ettimadai A. Shanmugham went in person and handed over relief aid to the affected. He then ordered government officials to pay the government relief allowance within two days.
During the event, Panchayat President Ravi, Union Secretary Rajan, former Union President Puratchi Thampi and government officials were present along with party executives.
