Adi Krishnamurthy (42) hails from Srivijaya Nagar, Tirupur. He is working as an employee in an IT company in Mumbai.
In this situation, he came to his hometown for Diwali festival and arrived at the Coimbatore Railway Station to travel to Mumbai by train the day before yesterday after the holidays.
At the time, he boarded the compartment no. 6 on the Coimbatore-Jabalpur Express train. Meanwhile, he apparently went to the restroom before the train left. The toilet latch was broken and could not be opened by Adi Krishnamurthy. Thus he was trapped in the toilet.
Following this, he contacted the Railway Protection Force helpline number 182 by cell phone and informed that he was stuck in the toilet.
Following this, the Railway Protection Force personnel rushed to the spot, broke the toilet door and rescued Adi Krishnamurthy. The incident caused a stir at the railway station for some time.
