On behalf of the Nilgiris District Police, about 200 tribal villagers from Chengal Puthur, Bambalakommai and Ellen were provided with lunch, new clothes and sweets for Diwali.
District Superintendent of Police V. Sasi Mohan and Wellington Inspector Philip and others were involved in the Diwali celebrations along with the tribals.
