2 arrested for car and bike theft in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Police yesterday arrested and jailed two people who were constantly stealing cars and bikes in Coimbatore region. Theft of two-wheelers and four-wheelers in and around Thudiyalur has been reported to the police.
Following this, the police registered a case and conducted an investigation and set-up a special team. Special team police engaged in a vehicle inspection near Anbu Nagar early yesterday morning. They arrested 2 people who came in the car and conducted an investigation.
They were identified as Thangamani (27) and Manikandan (28) from Salem, who also stole a car and two two-wheelers. Police subsequently arrested the two and confiscated the car and two-wheeler. A case has been registered against them under sections 379 and 380.
