EPFO Digital Life Certificate submission: Pensioners requested not come to PF office, can use banks and Common Service Centres

Coimbatore: Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) office has reminded pensioners to submit their Digital Life Certificate.

Coimbatore, Regional PF Commissioner, Jaivadan Ingle in a press release has said, "EPFO pensioners usually visit the PF Offices every year in the months of November and December to submit life certificates to continue to draw their pension. The pensioners may please note that the Jeevan Pramaan Patra (Digital Life Certificate) and non-remarriage certificate can be submitted during any month of the year and once submitted it will be valid for one year "

The release added, "Similarly, as the Pension Payment Order issued during the year 2020 is valid for one year, the pensioners need not rush presently for submission of the life certificate. In the present pandemic situation, the pensioners are advised not to visit the PF offices for submission of Life Certificate. Instead, elaborate arrangements have been made by the concerned pension drawing bank branches such as SBI, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank for submission of Life Certificates." "The pensioners may contact these bankers as per their schedules for mustering. It is advisable that while approaching the banker, the pensioner carries Pension Payment Order Number, Bank Pass book, Aadhar copy and Mobile phone for one time password."

"The pensioners can also submit the Digital Life Certificate through UMANG App by attaching a fingerprint scanner to their mobiles. Alternatively, the pensioners can also submit the Aadhar based Biometric Digital Life Certificate at the nearest Common Service Centre. More than 3 lakh Common Service Centres are authorized to collect Jeevan Pramaan Patra (Digital Life Certificate). The pensioners can visit these centres homes to submit the Jeevan Pramaan Patra. For searching the Common Service Centers in their localities, the pensioners can use the link https://locator.csccloud.in/. The pensioners can also avail this service at their doorsteps by contacting their local postman/nearest post office or India Post Payments Bank. It may be noted that the service provided by these agencies and CSCs are chargeable," said the release.
