Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Monday recorded 2,257 fresh COVID-19 cases and 18 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 7,46,079 and toll to 11,362.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 2,308 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,15,892 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 18,825.
Among districts, Chennai led with 585 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 189 cases and Thiruvallur 125 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 75,277 today, totalling to 1,06,36,999 getting examined till date.
