Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 2,402 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,08,846 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases were at 19,002.
Among districts, Chennai led with 612 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 222 cases and Thiruvallur 143.
Testing of samples stood at 80,786 today, totalling to 1,04,06,226 getting examined till date.
