TN Chief Minister lays foundation for Veterinary College and Research Station and various welfare projects in Tirupur

Tirupur: Chief Minister Edappadi Palanichamy laid the foundation stone for the Veterinary College and Research Station and various welfare projects. He provided welfare assistance worth 66 crore 72 lakh 75 thousand 822 rupees to 5592 beneficiaries.

The CM opened the laboratory constructed on behalf of the Department of Animal Husbandry for public use. He also opened the Second Zonal Office of Tirupur Corporation and projects of 8 departments including National Urban Livelihood Project and Fisheries Development Department at an estimated cost of 31 crore and 68 lakh.



This was followed by the laying of the foundation stone for the newly established Veterinary College and Research Station at Udumalai Circle Pannaikinaru Village at an estimated cost of Rs. 82 crore 11 lakhs. Augmented drinking water projects and construction of Vellakovil High School and Medical College Service Center building were also inaugurated. Projects worth an estimated cost of Rs 287 crore 38 lakh were inaugurated by the Chief Minister.

He later attended a review meeting on coronavirus prevention measures with health and revenue officials at the district collector's office.
