Coimbatore: Fifteen people have been admitted to hospital after being injured in a truck accident near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Fifteen people have been admitted to hospital after being injured in a truck accident near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore.

Fifteen members of the same family, who live in Athiyoor near Pollachi, left in a freight auto this morning to go to a temple in Kangayam area. The auto was on its way to Coimbatore after a few more persons boarded it from Kallangadupudur near Kinathukadavu next to Pollachi.

At the time, the vehicle collided with a barrier wall on the road in Kinathukadavu area and overturned. Fifteen people traveling in the car were injured.

Seeing this, the people in the neighborhood rescued them and sent them to a government hospital. Kinathukadavu police have registered a case and are investigating.
