Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 2,707 patients getting cured aggregating to 7,01,527 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases were at 19,201.
Among districts, Chennai led with 669 new cases today, followed by Coimbatore 238 and Chengalpattu 136.
Testing of samples stood at 70,398 today, totalling to 1,01,69,917 getting examined till date.
