An injured Kamalachi died on the way to the hospital. According to locals, elephants often roam in the area. They said that despite lodging complaints to the forest department, there has not been a solution for this problem and that the forest department personnel just conduct patrol for a couple days, which is not that beneficial to the public.
Therefore, the people of the area have demanded that the wild elephants roaming in the area should be immediately driven into dense forests and a permanent solution should be found to avert loss of lives and material damage further.
