Coimbatore: Members of SFI protest in Coimbatore demanding TN Governor's approval for 7.5% quota for government school students in MBBS intake

Coimbatore: Members of SFI today staged a protest in Coimbatore against the TN Governor for not signing the bill that would assure 7.5% quota for government school students in MBBS intake.

At the time, slogans were raised condemning the governor for not signing the Tamil Nadu government's bill to provide 7.5% quota for government school students in medical college admissions.

During the protests held in front of the Coimbatore Collectorate, one of the protestors held a pen and said that they are going to hand the pen over to the collector and have it sent to the governor.

Meanwhile, protestors dispersed, saying they are going to send the pen to the governor through a courier service after the police did not permit them to meet the collector with the pen.
