Ilangovan from Thottipalayam near Coimbatore worked in a workshop. He had also been in the business of financing two and four-wheelers.
A person named case, Michael had given him the documents of his auto and received Rs. 30,000 and has repaid Rs. 10,000 two days ago. Later, Ilangovan's mother contacted Michael and told him that he had only paid Rs. 9,000 instead of Rs. 10,000. An angry Michael fought with Ilangovan's mother. Knowing this, Ilangovan is said to have argued with Michael about this incident.
Following this, today Michael went to Thottipalayam with his friends where he had an argument with Ilangovan. Things heated up and Michael stabbed Ilangovan with a knife he had hidden.
Seeing this, Ilangovan's cousin Soundhar and his friends tried to stop him, but Michael stabbed them too and escaped with his friends. Following this, the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. Soundhar died of a seizure on the way to the hospital. Ilangovan, Kirubakaran and Arun were admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Peelamedu police have registered a case and are looking for Michael and his accomplices. Under the circumstancesm Michael (24) and his transgender friends Ragini (32) and Venba (23) have been arrested by the Peelamedu police and are being investigated.
