The death toll in the state touched 10,741, with 50 more deaths being reported, the State media bulletin confirmed.
Tamil Nadu’s capital has been the worst affected district in the state with 857 cases being reported on Monday. The other districts to report more cases were Coimbatore (263), Chengalpattu (191) and Salem (169).
As many as 4,403 people recovered from the infection today, and the total recoveries now stand at 6,46,555.
