14 COVID positives over last two days in Pollachi - Case tally increases to 1,034

Coimbatore: The total number of cases has risen to 1,034 in Pollachi after 14 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in two days. So far, 31 people have died without responding to treatment, health officials said.


Coimbatore: The total number of cases has risen to 1,034 in Pollachi after 14 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in two days. So far, 31 people have died without responding to treatment, health officials said.

The incidence of the disease is increasing day in and day out in the areas under Pollachi Revenue Division. In this case, 14 people have been confirmed as COVID positive in the last two days.

Persons that tested positive yesterday were from Makkinampatti, Mahalakshmi Nagar, Kandasamypuram, Kanal Puthur, Anaimalai, Kinathukkadavu, Chenniyoor, Chikkalampalayam and Kalipalayam.

Today's positives were from Nandanar Colony, Udumalai Narayanan Colony, Chinjuuwadi, Kanchampatti, Vakkampalayam, Zamin Uthukkuli, Chikkalampalayam and Kalipalayam.

The overall case tally has gone up to 1,034.
