Murali (50) hails from Dhandapani Nagar, Papanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore. He was admitted to a private hospital for treatment after being diagnosed with a corona infection a few days ago. Following this his house was isolated. Lawyer Keerthivasan, who lives on the first floor of the house, locked the house and went away to some other place.

Under the circumstances, Murali, who returned home on the 16th after treatment, was shocked to find that his house had been broken into. He found that 8 sovereigns of gold jewellery, one and a half kg of silver and Rs 2300 in cash were stolen from his locker by mysterious persons.

Later, Murali lodged a complaint at the Race Course Police Station. The Police, who have registered a case on his complaint, are on the lookout for the culprits who looted the house. The incident has caused fear amid the people in the area.
