Coimabtore: Private college in Coimbatore opens state-of-the-art gallery to showcase students' inventions
Coimbatore: A private college in Coimbatore has opened a state-of-the-art gallery to showcase students' new inventions. Liquid Studio, a gallery showcasing the work of students, was inaugurated at the SNS College campus in Saravanampatti, Coimbatore.
The event was presided over by College Secretary Nalin and was attended by AIADMK Young Men and Young Women Wing Deputy Secretary Vishnu Prabhu and Coimbatore District Revenue Officer Ramadurai.
They paid floral tributes to former President Abdul Kalam's picture previously painted by students with paints made from natural herbs. Then they viewed showcased new inventions and heard explanations about their uniqueness. The college administration said that although all the colleges were closed during the Coronavirus period, their college is teaching students all kinds of technologies through the internet.
The management, which said it would fund each new invention separately, said the new gallery showcases about 15 new inventions, including a modern racing car, a cane extractor, and vehicle control tools.
Earlier, AIADMK Youth Wing Deputy Secretary Vishnu Prabhu told reporters that the modern gallery would be a great encouragement for students' innovative skills and that he had learned a lot from it.
