Coimbatore: BJP Farmers' Wing conducted an awareness cycle rally near Coimbatore in support of Farm Bills-2020.
Opposition parties across the country have been protesting against Centre's agricultural law amendment bills. At the same time, awareness programmes are being conducted on behalf of the BJP in support of these bills. As part of this, an awareness cycle rally was held on behalf of BJP Farmers' Wing in Chettipalayam area of Coimbatore district. A puja was conducted for the cows and tractors which help in farming. A padha puja was also performed in honour of farmers.
Following this, more than 50 people took part in a 2 km bicycle rally in support of the new farm bills. A few drove bullock carts and tractors too in the rally.
BJP cadres said the farm bills would increase the income of farmers and that the opposition parties are just playing a political game by opposing the bills.
