49th anniversary of AIADMK celebrated in Coimbatore: Party members garland statues of Anna, MGR and Jayalalithaa
Coimbatore: As today marks the 49th anniversary of AIADMK, the party members garlanded statues of Anna, MGR and Jayalalithaa in Avinashi road. The 49th anniversary of the AIADMK is being celebrated all over Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy hoisted the party flag and distributed sweets in his village Siluvampalayam near Edappadi.
As part of the celebrations, AIADMK South Assembly member Amman Arjunan led a procession from the party office in Avinashi Road.
Then they paid homage by garlanding the statues of Anna, MGR and Jayalalithaa. Later they paid floral tributes to the statues of MGR and Jayalalithaa in the party office.
After this, the party flag was hoisted and sweets were distributed. The event was attended by many including former mayor Velusamy.
