Coimbatore: Flower seller arrested in Coimbatore for attacking wife with rolling pin
Coimbatore: Gaja Hussain (50) hails from Tipu nagar, Karumbukkadai, Coimbatore. His wife is Tajjunisha (45). Gaja Hussain is a flower seller.
He is said to be addicted to alcohol which has led to frequent arguments with his wife because he came home drunk every day. Gaja Hussain came home drunk the night before yesterday and this caused a quarrel between the two. An enraged Gaja Hussain took a rolling pin used for making chapathis and puris and hit his wife on the head. Tajjunisha's skull was split and started bleeding. She started screaming in pain and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was given intensive treatment.
Gaja Hussain was produced in court and remanded into custody following a complaint lodged by his wife Tajjunisha with the Kuniyamuthur police.
