Tirupur District Fish Traders' Welfare Association inaugurated: Welfare assistance provided to struggling fish sellers

Tirupur: Tirupur District Fish Merchants Welfare Association was inaugurated today at a private wedding hall in Tirupur Boyampalayam area.


Tirupur: Tirupur District Fish Merchants Welfare Association was inaugurated today at a private wedding hall in Tirupur Boyampalayam area.



The union has been started to bring the problems of the fish traders in Tirupur district to the attention of the government and find a suitable solution to protect the livelihood of the fish traders. Cheques worth ten thousand rupees were issued on behalf of the association to the fish traders who were most affected by the lack of trade during the Coronavirus lockdown.

A resolution to keep fish shops hygienic throughout Tirupur district was also passed.
