Coimbatore: Three people arrested in Coonoor for growing ganja in flower pots at their homes
Coimbatore: Three people were arrested for growing cannabis pot at their homes in Coonoor. Ganja circulation has increased in the Nilgiris district recently. As a result, young students are becoming addicted to it and suffer from many related problems.
A special team led by DSP Suresh has been deployed in Coonoor to inspect various places to monitor ganja circulation.
While inspecting the Coonoor Siddhi Vinayagar Kovil Street area it was revealed that ganja plants were grown in flower pots at houses. Anbumani and Siva from the area were arrested and ganja was confiscated from them.
A youth named Vinod was also arrested for possession of ganja in the same area. The three were produced in Coonoor Criminal Court and remanded into custody.
