This is part of the work that is underway to remove old buildings in order to expand the office of Municipal Commissioner Pavunraj.
The demolition work began at eleven o'clock last night, and was completed in the morning. The work was completed quickly as it would hinder transport during the day.
On hearing about the protest commissioner immediately came in person and told the protestors that the seating area would be modernized. Upon this, everyone dispersed. He also said that the work for a boat house and botanical garden for the use of the public and tourists in Valparai has been geared up. This was welcomed by the members of the public.
