With 1,164 cases, Chennai continued to top the table followed by Coimbatore which recorded 398 fresh positives.
Salem (277), Chengalpattu (252), and Thiruvallur (236) posted more than 200 cases.
While Tirupur logged 166 cases, The Nilgiris posted 123.
