Coimbatore: Man kills himself in Coimbatore due to inability to repay debts
Coimbatore: Gunasekaran (45) from Peelamedu Murugan Nagar, Coimbatore, a self-employed worker was married to Yashoda (41), who is working as a nurse in Coimbatore Government Hospital. The couple has a son and a daughter. Gunasekaran is said to have taken loans from friends and relatives due to financial problems and was depressed due to not being able to repay them.
Under the circumstances, Gunasekaran who was seen to be very worried and depressed yesterday was found lying unconscious after consuming poison near a private company in the Trichy Road area.
When the public saw this, they rushed him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. The doctors who examined Gunasekaran there said that he was dead on arrival. The Sulur police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
