Minister SP Velumani said that while various solid waste management projects are being carried out in Coimbatore using modern technology and scientific methods, natural manure and vermicompost are being prepared from the garbage collected at Irugur Special Grade Town Panchayat.
He also said that steps have been taken to use the oil produced from the machine's plastic waste for use in nearby factories, thereby transforming the Town Panchayat into a hygienic one that is free of land, ground and water pollution and plastic waste.
