The Nilgiris: Honda Showroom in Coonoor, Nilgiris was fined Rs. 5000 for not following the COVID regulations of wearing face masks and following social distancing.
Various awareness programs are being conducted for the general public on behalf of the Coonoor Municipal Administration to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
Municipality received constant complaints about some companies that their employees and customers do not follow social distancing and do not wear face masks.
Following this, officers led by Municipal Health Inspector Selvaraj inspected the Honda Showroom in Coonoor Mount Road and found that customers were coming in without face masks and were not following social distancing. Hence the company was fined Rs 5,000.
