CPI protests against the anti-labor stance of central government in Tirupur

Tirupur: Cadres of Communist Party of India in Tirupur protested against the anti-labor sentiments of the central government by smearing ash on their forehead and seeking alms.


Tirupur: Cadres of Communist Party of India in Tirupur protested against the anti-labor sentiments of the central government by smearing ash on their forehead and seeking alms.

The Communist Party of India staged five sit-in protests in Tirupur demanding the immediate withdrawal of the recently amended agricultural law bill and labor law amendments by the central government.



As part of the protests, the party members engaged in a road roko in front of the Tirupur Kumaran Memorial by smearing ash on their forehead and seeking alms. They chanted slogans against the government.



The police arrested the protestors involved in the road roko.
