Coimbatore: The public of Kaalappanaickenpalayam area in Vadavalli here alerted the police control room of an unidentified elderly woman over the age of 80, roaming in their area.
Based on the information, the Vadavalli police went to the spot and found out that the elderly woman's name was Kuppathal from Thudiyalur, Udayampalayam area. Due to old age, the elderly woman had lost her way and reached Vadavalli.
Understanding her dire state, special SI, Saravanan and another cop, Kather Sheriff from Vadavalli police station, inquired on her whereabouts and located her address.
They even arranged for an auto at their own expense and accompanied the elderly woman and handed over her to her daughter in Thudiyalur. The public lauded the selfless efforts of the cops for helping her reunite with her family.
