The Nilgiris: Ooty Botanical Garden wears a deserted look due to lack of tourist arrivals during the weekend.

October is considered as the second season every year in the Nilgiris. Around this time, thousands of tourists from India and abroad visit daily.

Due to the COVID crisi, the Ooty Government Botanical Gardens, Rose Garden, Coonoor Sims Park, Katary Park and Kotagiri Nehru Park, which are under the control of the Horticulture Department, have been opened and the park staff are allowing tourists to wear masks and walk around the park with social distancing.

Meanwhile, the weather in Ooty was cold and pleasant today, the weekend, but only a very few tourists were seen. Due to this, most of the parks were deserted. Those who rely on the tourism industry are disappointed due to the lack of crowds.
