The Nilgiris District Superintendent of Police, Sasi Mohan, directed that investigations into the complaints by the elderly, disabled and mentally ill can be taken directly at their homes for further action as it is difficult for them to register complaints in person or online.
It was launched in the first phase at Coonoor. Coonoor Police Inspector Jayamurugan and Wellington Police Inspector Philip, among others, went directly to the homes of the victims to register complaints and take legal action for their grievances.
