Coimbatore: Minister SP Velumani planted crops along with farmers in the field.
The area along the Western Ghats of Coimbatore is inhabited by a large number of tribals . Various development projects are being carried out for their betterment with aids from the Central Governments .
Minister SP Velumani inspected the Sadivayal and surrounding villages in the Western Ghats, met the tribal people in person and heard their grievances and demands.
Following this, Minister SP Velumani went down to the field with the farmers in Kalkuthipathi village next to Sadivayal and planted paddy crops and asked the farmers about the ground water level of the area and the crops planted there.
He then instructed the authorities to immediately meet all the needs of the tribals living in the area.
